AI Blood Results is a static, information-only website. We are built to work with as little of your data as possible — and to be clear, this policy explains exactly what that means.
Who we are and what this policy covers
AI Blood Results ("we", "us") is an independent UK editorial website at https://aibloodresults.co.uk that explains blood test results in plain English. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For the purposes of that law, we are the data controller for this website. Because the site is static and information-only, it is deliberately designed to process the minimum amount of data needed to be served securely and reliably.
What data we process
There are only a few, limited ways your data is involved when you use this site:
- Server and CDN logs. Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, a content delivery network (CDN) that also protects the site from attacks. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare and our hosting automatically process standard technical information — such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, your approximate region, and your browser and device type. This is ordinary internet "housekeeping" used to serve pages, keep the site secure and diagnose faults. These logs are short-lived and are not used to build a profile of you.
- Privacy-respecting analytics (if any). Where we measure how the site is used, we aim to use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics that do not rely on tracking cookies and do not identify you personally. We use this only to understand which guides are useful, in aggregate — never to follow you around the web.
- Email you send us. If you email editorial@aibloodresults.co.uk, security@aibloodresults.co.uk or our privacy address, we process the contents of your message and your email address so we can reply. Please do not send us your blood test results or other sensitive health information — we do not want it, cannot advise on it, and would rather you did not share it.
Cookies
This is a static informational site, so we keep cookies to an absolute minimum. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. At most, a small number of strictly necessary (essential) cookies may be set by our CDN, Cloudflare, to keep the site secure and working correctly — for example, to help distinguish genuine visitors from automated attacks. Essential cookies of this kind do not require consent under the rules because the site could not function safely without them, and they are not used to profile you or to advertise to you. If we ever introduce any non-essential cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
We do not collect or store your blood test results
This deserves to be said plainly. AI Blood Results is a reading resource: there is no form on this site that asks for your results, no upload feature and no database of user health information. We do not collect, store or process your blood test results or any special-category health data about you. If you choose to review your report with a third-party analyser we link to, that is a separate service governed by its own privacy policy — please read it before you use the tool. Nothing you type into another provider's tool is sent to us.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to anyone, and we do not share it for third-party advertising. The limited data described above is used only to run and secure this website and to respond to messages you send us.
Legal basis and retention
Under the UK GDPR, our lawful basis for processing the minimal technical data (server and CDN logs) is our legitimate interests in delivering the website reliably and keeping it secure. Where we process a message you send us, our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry, or your consent in choosing to contact us. We keep data no longer than necessary: technical logs are retained only for a short period for security and troubleshooting before being deleted or aggregated, and correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up.
Processors and international transfers
We use Cloudflare as a processor to serve and protect the site, and standard email infrastructure to receive messages. These providers may process data on servers outside the UK. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law (such as approved transfer mechanisms) are relied upon to protect your information.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have rights over your personal data, including the right to: be informed about how it is used; access a copy of it; have inaccurate data corrected; have it erased in certain circumstances; restrict or object to processing; and, where applicable, data portability. Because we hold so little identifiable data, we may not always be able to link short-lived technical logs to you specifically, but we will always help where we can. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general adult audience seeking to understand blood tests. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if our tools or providers change. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be made clear.
